The Dead Women of Juárez

Introduction:

"--- More than 411 women have been murdered and more than 500 disappeared among what is known today as "The Dead Women of Juárez," cases of mostly young, pretty women often found mutilated in the desert around Ciudad Juárez and elsewhere in the state of Chihuahua." http://crm.ncmonline.com

Project 14:

SOCIALLY ENGAGED SPIRITUALITY

The Psychology of Consciousness/

El Psicología del Sentido

Mission Statement:

To research the horrible and extremely violent set of problems known as The Dead Women of Juárez.

Methodology:

To use dreamwork for socially engaged spirituality to move consciousness in Juarez from a lower reality to a higher plane.

"The recapitulation sets free energy imprisoned within us, and without this liberated energy dreaming is not possible." Don Juan Matus, The Art of Dreaming

www.castaneda.org

Concentrations:

Project 14 areas of emphasis are: theory, method, practice, peer review, reflection, data analysis and fostering learning.

What is Project 14 doing now?

Project 14 is assembling a body of knowledge using training as Carlos Casteneda style warriors (being trained on a path with heart) for dream characters. The Project 14 process is a recapulation. It is styled after Castaneda's recapitulation but not identical hence the name change.

Lindblom

Recollective Analytic:

"In order to elicit a seeing response in me, don Juan utilized other foreign units of cognition.  One of the most important units, he called the recapitulation, which consisted of a systematic scrutiny of one's life, segment by segment, an examination made not in the light of criticism or finding flaw, but in the light of an effort to understand one's life, and to change its course."

Chuck Frost, Middle Tennessee State University

http://www.mtsu.edu/~socwork/frost/god/castaneda.htm

Please note that the five year old Project 14 is being done in aspects, stages or phases of which the above recapulation method is among the first though not the only method. See other Project 14 websites on this page for other aspects of the project. There shall be many other aspects as the project develops. For example, for further proposed work, please feel free to see:

What does Project 14 intend?

Goals:

1. identification of researchable problem(s), define research categories

2. derive hypotheses, researchable questions, search and discovery

3. literature review of research, identify pilot projects, research design

4. develop methods, methodology, construction and deconstruction

5. data collection, data analysis, and trial facts identification

6. further systems analysis (vis a vis John Dewey)

7. falsification (vis a vis Karl Popper)

8. further identify systems, results, conclusions, discussion

9. peer review and interpretation(s).

Project 14 relies on method and methodology. Please note that the overall and guiding mega method for Project 14 is the scientific method where Project 14 is engaged in the first step establishing an understand of current research and what the significance of that research is. The following is a description of the steps in the scientific method.

1.) Current research literature and significance,

2.) Objectives and hypotheses,

3.) Methods and approaches,

4.) Data perspectives and

5.) Results, solutions, discussion and publication.

Please Note:

Mapuche Dreamwork

"Dreams are viewed by most Mapuche as being journeys taken by the soul while the person is asleep. Dreams in which the soul visits the wenu mapu are considered to be important to the dreamers because of the contact with the sacred. Shamans and ordinary people benefit from contact with the sacred in that they can obtain power and advice on all kinds of matters. These dreams are proudly na in rituals and social gatherings."
